Mike Casten is an internationally recognized expert in the facilitation of breakthrough performance for contractor clients of all sizes. Through his help in organizational strategic planning, leadership development, modular consulting and the development of production engineering expertise, Construction Concepts clients quickly experience significant improvements in their project performance.
Mike started as a carpenter, and then attended Colorado State University, where he was an Industrial Construction Management major. He has worked as an engineer, superintendent, production analyst, chief estimator, project manager and area manager for such successful contractors as the Hensel Phelps Construction Company and the Centric Corporation.
Based on this experience, he founded Construction Concepts in 1978 and was quickly recognized for his expertise in bringing breakthrough to construction projects of every size and type all across the US and in Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela. Along the way

Supervisory Training Program (STP) units for the Associated General Contractors of America,
Three of the five Carolinas AGC Project SuperVISION forty-hour core courses
Contractor Guidelines for Career Development and has trained many of the instructors for the core courses
Additionally he has compiled, edited written and helped teach the very successful Supervisors Institute, an intense week long course for construction project leaders, with over two thousand graduates. Recently Mike has co-developed and taught Construction Performance Improvement at Virginia Tech
